Error description

  • Due to encountering various issues with the DB2 Activity Log
    table entries may stop being  entered into the db2 table:
    TSMDB1.ACTIVITY_LOG.  In this case there are no obvious messages
    in the DB2diag.log to discern the problem.

    *NOTE*
    - The server activity log thread is not currently checked by the
    server and is only started at server startup.
    - In other cases apars IC64839 and IZ11955 were identified as
    related but are not necessarily root cause.
    
    Platforms affected:
    TSM 6.1, 6.2 All Unix/Linux and Windows
    
    Initial Impact: Low
    
    Additional Keywords: actlog ZZ61 ZZ62 logging act
    

Local fix

  • Halt and restart the TSM server
