IC69773: SUM OF SQL DATA TYPE INTERVAL IN A SUBQUERY RETURNS ERROR 1268

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Running a select statement with a subquery having a sum
  aggregate dealing with interval sql data type will return error
  1268 as an interval qualifier would have not been correctly
  used. This error is not normal behavior and should not be
  returned by IDS.
  Not using the subquery will workaround the problem.
  
  Error as it is returned:
  
  
    1268: Invalid datetime or interval qualifier.

Problem conclusion

• The latest 11.50XCX server addresses this issue of not getting
  1268 when doing aggregation on interval type in the subquery and
  that subquery belong to the projection list of the main query.
