Error description

• When upgrading a V6 Tivoli Storage Manager Device Driver, the
  upgrade package may remove the device special files at the
  operating system layer for any library/drives defined to the
  Server.
  .
  An administrator may be required to rediscover the device
  special files, and update any Tivoli Storage Manager
  drive/library paths if the device names changed and
  SANDISCOVERY is not enabled.
  .
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  The tsm_install_log generated by the upgrade/install package
  will show the devices being removed by the device drive
  upgrade process, for example:
  .
    Removing TSM devices
    Removing device lb0
    Removing device mt0
    Removing device mt1
  .

  All 6.1 and 6.2 Tivoli Storage Manager Servers.

Local fix

• Enable SANDISCOVERY if possible to automatically redefine the
  device paths or document the library/drive configuration
  prior to upgrading the device driver.  Use the tsmdlst utility
  to gather device specific information before upgrading.
