IC69538: ANR4511E AND ANR4510E MESSAGES IN VERSION 6.X DON'T INDICATE FULL IMPACT OF ERROR.

Error description

• With server version 6.x, the volume history file is required to
  allow the database to be restored.
  Without a copy of it, the database cannot be restored. This is
  different to than previous server versions before 6.x where the
  database could be restored without a volume history file.
  
  Currently, if the volume history fails to backup or be written
  to, the following messages are reported:
  
  ANR4511E Volume history file /directory_name/volhist.out  could
  not be opened.
  ANR4510E Server could not write sequential volume history
  information to /directory_name/volhist.out
  
  These messages do not indicate the full impact of not
  successfully backing up the volume history
  information.
  
  Additionally, in the Messages guide, these two messages are
  written for versions before version 6.x
  and require updating.
