IC69128: CONNECTION MANAGER NEEDS THE ABILITY TO DISTRIBUTE TO A SPECIFIC SERVER (OR SET OF SERVERS) OF THE SAME PROTOCOL

Error description

• At present, CM will discover all available DBSERVERNAME /
  DBSERVERALIASES for a specific protocol and distribute client
  connections to any.
  
  Clients require the ability to control which DBSERVERNAME /
  DBSERVERALIASES for a specific protocol are used for
  distribution.
  
  As a simple example :
  
  Web Server on external network
  Application Server on internal network
  
  Database Server has tcp port1 and tcp port2 for the external web
  server connections and tcp port3 and tcp port4 for internal
  application connections. Connection Manager will currently
  distribute Web Server connections to port1, port2, port3 and
  port4 - connection attempts to port3 and port4 will fail.

Problem conclusion

• New Connection Manager configuration parameter SQLHOSTS to let
  user to choose a specific server (or set of servers) to be
  redirected.
