Error description

  • Workspaces in Monitoring and Reporting may incorrectly display
    percentages.
For instance, Tape Volume workspace may show used and unused
capacity as 1000 and 9000 instead of 10 and 90 respectively.
Affected workspaces are those that contain locale-sensitive
characters such as commas or decimals in values.
The issue is that DB2 (which runs with the same language as the
operating system) and TSM are not the same language.
Any SQL query ran from dsmadmc will show locale-sensitive
results in the operating system language instead of the TSM
    server language.
    Initial Impact: Low
    Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:
6.x TSM servers in use with Monitoring and Reporting 6.x
    Additional Keywords:
TSM ITM RM R&M percentages language zz61 zz62
    comma period

Local fix

  • Change the language of TSM, DB2 and/or the operating system so
they run in the same language.
