Error description

  • Under some conditions the CDRGeval threads will be called upon
to take transactions from the in memory sendq and spool them to
disk. Sometimes this spooling requires the eval thread to
update the syscdr:replaytab. When it needs to do this, it will
open the syscdr:replaytab and not close it. Every time it needs
to do this, it reopens syscdr:replaytab, which leaks memory and
rsam open file info (open files as reported in onstat -g opn).

Looking at onstat -g opn output for CDRGeval threads and seeing
the partnum for the syscdr:replaytab repeatedly, all with
different isfd output, then that would be a good indication of
    this defect.

    For example:

     onstat -g opn
    IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.50.F -- On-Line --
    Up 01:11:20 -- 687904 Kbytes
    tid rstcb isfd op_mode op_flags
         partnum ucount ocount lockmode
    61 0x000000004b8424f8 0 0x00000400 0x00000397 0x001000a4 4
             4 0
    61 0x000000004b8424f8 1 0x00000002 0x00000003 0x001000a4 4
             4 0
    61 0x000000004b8424f8 2 0x00000442 0x00000797 0x001000a4 4
             4 0
    61 0x000000004b8424f8 3 0x00000440 0x00000697 0x001000a4 4
             4 0

In this output the partnum for the syscdr:replay table would
have been 0x1000a4, and tid 61 would be for a CDRGeval# thread.
