Error description

  • Host On-Demand version 10.0.7.0 ShareCachedClient html parm does
not work for a windows 7 client. The customer tried to use this
parm along with SharedCachedDirectory but the html parms don't
have any effect on the shared cached client.

On a Windows 7 client machine, the ShareCachedClient and
SharedCachedDirectory html parameters do not save in the
location specified by the parameter.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Since there is no logic added in HOD to detect if the OS is
Windows 7, HOD is unable to download the jars to the specified
location. Previous versions of JRE (before 1.6.0_14) return
Windows Vista even in Windows 7 when
System.getProperty("os.name") is called.

Fix is scheduled to be available in HOD 10.0.8.0 Refresh Pack
Fix is scheduled to be available in HOD 11.0.2.0 Refresh pack
