IC67677: SQL QUERY AGAINST PROF_ASSOCIATIONS VIEW DOES NOT DISPLAY ALL ASSOCIATIONS

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • An SQL query performed against the PROF_ASSOCIATIONS table view
    does not display all profile associations as expected.  Only
    those associations that were defined with a wild card ('*') will
    be returned from this query.  For example, the SQL query would
    return information for an association that was defined as:
    
       DEFINE PROFASSOCIATION MYPROFILE DOMAINS=*
    
    However, the same query would not return information for an
    association that had been defined as:
    
       DEFINE PROFASSOCIATION MYPROFILE DOMAINS=MYDOMAIN
    
    This problem only affects SQL queries issued against the
    PROF_ASSOCIATIONS table view within TSM, there is no problem
    with the information in the underlying DB2 table.  In addition,
    the 'QUERY PROFILE F=D' command will accurately show all of the
    associations for a given profile.

    All TSM 6.1.x and 6.2.x Servers
