IC66978: FILTERS ON REMOTE VIEWS ARE NOT PUSHED INTO THE VIEW IF IT HAS INSTEAD OF TRIGGERS DEFINED ON IT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If a remote view has an INSTEAD of trigger defined on it and a
  query is run on a local server that accesses this remote view,
  the filters on this view and not pushed into the view on the
  remote site causing server performance problems.
  

Local fix

• 1. Use the underlying table instead of a view, in the query.
  2. Drop the INSTEAD of trigger on the remote view.
  3. Using a view with no INSTEAD of triggers also chooses the
  same plan as (2).
