IC65550: SQL ERROR -710 ISAM ERROR -21523 HAPPENS AFTER ENGINE COMES ONLINE WITH DEFERRED INDEX BUILD

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A deferred index build can leave a non-dirty dictionary cache
  entry that will cause subsequent operations such as an insert to
  fail with sql error -710 isam error -21523.
  
  A potential workaround would be to run update statistics.

Problem conclusion

• Problem first fixed in 11.50.xC7.  Server will properly handle
  the dictionary entries after the rebuild of the indices during
  the recovery process and users will not see the -710 error.
