IC64924: INSTANCE MANAGER ON WINDOWS HANGS IN AN ENDLESS LOOP WHEN THE DISCOVERY FILE HAS LINES WITH MORE THAN 100 CHARACTERS

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using the instance manager, the instance manager window
  disappears but the instmgr.exe process is using most of one cpu.
  The output of the 'onstat -' command has more than one hundred
  characters.

Problem conclusion

• Problem is fixed in IDS 11.50.xC6. The instance manager will not
  hang if the discovery file has lines with more than 100
  characters.  Limit has been increased to 512.
