APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If you configure SBSPACETEMP to a non-existent space or a
temporary space or a regular dbspace and try to create a bts
index you receive an error that looks like this:

(BTSA1) - bts clucene error: IO error: FSE IO cannot open
/tab1_idx/1048961/segments.new

The error message does suggest there is a problem with a
chunk/dbspace, but it does not identify which chunk/dbspace.
There is no warning or error message in the online.log. You can
turn on debugging but the error messages are essentially the
same.

* Upgrade to IDS 11.50.xC6 and above.                          *

Problem conclusion


    

  • Problem first fixed in IDS 11.50.xC6.  If the sbspace does not
exist or is not an sbspace, then a warning is issued in the
online log and the SBSPACETEMP is ignored.
