APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using CSM password encryption with three or more virtual
processors and connecting through dbaccess, you will see a 5009
error (CSM: authentication error).  produced with intermittent
assertion failures which cause  the engine to crash.

The issue does not occur when virtual processors are dynamically
added using onmode -p and by using the  CSM library from v10
engine.

Problem conclusion


    

  • Problem first fixed in IDS 11.50.xC7 where you will now be able
to configure multiple CSM VPs and use Simple Password CSM to
connect to IDS.
