APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• User application sometimes results in X-System or Not Responding
  on the window title. Trace shows RC=9 for ConnectPS, CopyOIA
  calls. The user application runs OK with 5.9.1 level but fails
  with 5.9.4.
  
  The application uses HACL, EHLLAPI and CMMOUSE.

  When multiple HACL applications are active, a race condition
  occurs between one HACL application and the emulator session
  resulting in the 'Not Responding' status.
  

Problem conclusion

• With multiple HACL applications active there is potential of a
  deadlock between the session process and any one of the HACL
  applications that make Copy OIA(13) calls. The deadlock occurs
  because of recursive locking-unlocking logic of the
  presentation space in the underlying EHLLAPI layer. This has
  been fixed by not locking the presentation space more than once
  in the Copy OIA(13) EHLLAPI function while executing from
  inside the same process. PCSHLL32.DLL has been changed.
  
  Fixed in Manufacturing Refresh PCOM 5.9.6.0
