IC63281: THE DBSCHEMA -HD COMMAND DOES NOT RETURN DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION OR ERROR MESSAGE ON A TABLE WITHOUT SELECT PRIVILEGES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The SQL error "-272 No SELECT permission for table/column."
  should be returned by the "dbschema -d database_name -hd
  table_name" command when the user does not have select
  permission for the table specified in the command, but does
  not do so.  The command appears to run without error and yet
  does not return distribution information or indicate an
  error has occurred.

Problem conclusion

• Problem first fixed in IDS 11.50.xC6.  dbexport will now show
  "-272 - No SELECT permission for tab1." on all platforms.
