IC62899: A SCHEDULED TASK WAS NOT EXECUTED DUE TO A NULL VALUE IN THE TK_TYPE COLUMN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The tk_type column in the ph_task table does not have a not null
  constraint, therefore a
  null value can be explicitly inserted via SQL.  The value for
  tk_type is evaluated in the
  check constraint.  The check constraint does not prevent nulls
  from being inserted, but does
  prevent " " (a space) or "" (an empty string) from being
  inserted.  Since a null was not in
  the list of expected values for the tk_type column, the task was
  not executed.

Problem conclusion

• Problem is fixed in 11.50.xC6. The database server will ensure
  that the users have specified a valid value for ph_task.tk_type
  column.
