IC62076: CONFIGURATION WIZARD COMPLETES WITH RC=10, WHEN BOTH WIZARD AND SERVER LANGUAGE ARE SET AS JAPANESE

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When configuring the Tivoli Storage Manager server by using the
    configuration wizard (dsmicfgx.exe), the process completes with
    RC 10 and is unable to create a Tivoli Storage Manager server
    instance. The Format.out file shows no error, but the
    dsmicfg.trc file shows the following messages:

    The RC 10 is the result of the wizard encountering a problem
    reading the Japanese Format.out file.
    

Local fix

  • Select English as the server language when running the
    configuration wizard. After the configuration is complete, edit
    the dsmserv.opt file and set the language to JPN. The wizard can
    be run in Japanese, but the server language must be set to
    English initially.
