APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Version 6 Tivoli Storage Manager server on AIX 5.3 has minimum
  xlC fileset levels.
    The minimum level for xlC.rte is 9.0.0.8
    The minimum level for xlC.aix50.rte is 9.0.0.8
  If the minimum levels are not installed, the Tivoli Storage
  Manager server install may fail.  If the problem is encountered
  and the install fails, MachinePlan_localhost_ log file may
  contain additional information.
  Here is an example of the filename (filename includes a
  timestamp) and the contents of the file:
    coi/plan/install/MachinePlan_localhost/logs/
    MachinePlan_localhost_￭INSTALL_0422_17.30.log

  If the failure above is seen, review the output of the
  following:
    lslpp -la | grep xlC
  The installer should check to ensure that the minimum xlC
  filesets are installed.
