• Tivoli Storage Manager 6.1 installation on a Linux or AIX server
  can fail if IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms Base
  Component is installed on the system.

Local fix

• Remove TSAMP 3.X packages prior to installing the Tivoli Storage
  Manager server.  You can upgrade this TSAMP package back to 3.X
  levels after completing the Tivoli Storage Manager install.
