Error description

• During the installation of the TSM 6.1 Server on AIX 6.1
  platforms, the Deployment Engine may hang when attempting to
  perform a hardware scan.  While in the hung state, the 'ps -ef'
  command will show the wscanhw process running for an excessive
  amount of time, similar to the output below:

     /usr/ibm/common/acsi/dat/config/scanconfig.xml

  The wscanhw process only hangs when run on an AIX 6.1 host with
  EMC and/or SSA disks attached (APAR IZ45154).
