Error description

• Following sequence of SQL statement execution will result in
  SQLERROR 271, ISAM 151
  1. Alter a table to add vercols, This table should contain
  varchar column.
  2. Insert at least one row in the table.
  3. Alter the same table to add another column before a varchar
  column.
  4. Attempt to insert a row in this table will result in the
  error.
