APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • COPY to clipboard fails on Pcom after COPY on Microsoft EXCEL or
Word. The problem occurs when the host codepage is 1399/1390.
The user will see MSGPCSERR101 Error locking global memory.

Problem summary


    

  • Version: PCOMM 5.9 CSD1 Japanese version + Windows NT/2000/XP
Error Scenario:
User with host code page 1390/1399 selected in PC5250 session
gets error message PCSERR101 when trying to copy data from PCOMM
session right after copied something from Microsoft Excel or
Microsoft Word.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Because of PCOMM with host code page 1390/1399 session does not
supports metafile and bitmap type of clipboard format which
generated by Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word so it will fail
in those conditions.
Solution:
Need to exclude these two clipboard formats when pocessing copy
data in 1390/1399 session.
PCSEDIT.DLL has been changed to correct this error.
