  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In IBM Content Collector 4.0, new metadata mappings in the EC
Extract Metadata task are not saved. If you configure mappings
for user-defined metadata and save the task, the mappings are
not stored and are not available the next time you open the
    task.

The problem does not occur for existing EC Extract Metadata
tasks that have been configured with earlier versions of IBM
    Content Collector.

Problem summary

  • With IBM Content Collector 4.0, a new caching mechanism has been
introduced that temporarily stores metadata mappings for
different sets of user-defined metadata. This change caused a
problem with permanently storing the mappings.

Problem conclusion

  • Starting with IBM Content Collector 4.0 Fix Pack 2, the metadata
     mappings are saved correctly again.
