HE11980: The server count in a Microsoft SharePoint farm is not accurate when deploying IBM Content Collector solution files

Error description

• When IBM Content Collector for Microsoft SharePoint is installed
  on a multiserver farm, the installer obtains a count of the
  servers on which to deploy the web service solution files for
  Content Collector.  The installer waits for a period of time to
  allow for these deployments before timing out and completing the
   installation. During this period of time, the installer queries
   the SharePoint farm, checking how many servers have the web
  service solution files deployed successfully.
  
  In SharePoint implementations that have additional servers that
  are not WFE (Windows Front End) however, the expected count of
  the total number of servers that were deployed successfully is
  never reached before the installer times out. The installer log
  states that the solution deployment was unsuccessful, although
  the web service solution files were successfully deployed.

Problem summary

• When IBM Content Collector for Microsoft SharePoint is installed
   on a multiserver farm, the installer obtains a count of the

   installation.
  During this period of time, the installer queries the SharePoint
  farm, checking how many servers have the web service solution
  files deployed successfully.
  In SharePoint implementations that have additional servers that
  are not WFE (Windows Front End), the expected count of the
  servers that were deployed successfully is never reached before
  the installer times out. The installer log states that the
  solution deployment was unsuccessful, although the web service
  solution files were successfully deployed on all servers in the
  farm.
  
  The installer must filter out all servers with non-WFE roles to
  establish an accurate server count for confirming successful
  deployment within the SharePoint farm.
  

Problem conclusion

• Starting with IBM Content Collector 4.0 Fix Pack 2, the
  installer will not include servers that have a role type of
  "Invalid" when counting servers in a SharePoint farm.
