Error description

  • The IBM Content Collector FileNet P8 Connector might process
    annotation objects very slowly. XIT objects for duplicate email
    are not updated until the respective annotation object is
    processed. Therefore, searches for duplicate email might not
    return the expected result.

Problem summary

  • When processing annotations, the IBM Content Collector FileNet
    P8 Connector uses the database paging iterator that is provided
    by the FileNet P8 APIs and processes all records that are
    returned. For large result sets, this procedure might decrease
    performance, so that annotations are processed very slowly.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Starting with IBM Content Collector 2.2 Fix Pack 4, the database
    paging has been divided into smaller sessions to improve
    performance when processing annotation objects.
