APAR status

Error description

  • The following sequence of steps causes the task queue entry to
be deleted for a scheduled search that is paused, preventing the
task from being restarted.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Pause a task.
2. Edit the main schedule task to clear the Not-in-case
checkbox.
3. Refresh the screen.
4. Restart the paused task.

If you complete step 4 before you complete step 3, the problem
does not occur.

Local fix

  • Do not refresh the screen until you restart the paused task.

Problem summary

  • The editing of a paused search task scheduler may cause task
queue not being created properly.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed task editing code so the task state is set properly so a
task queue is created.
