APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the connection to the IBM FileNetP8 server is temporarily
    interrupted, API connection error API_UNABLE_TO_USE_CONNECTION,
    any eDiscovery Manager tasks running at that time stall.
    

Local fix

  • Restart the eDiscovery Manager application server to enable the
    tasks to complete.
    

Problem summary

  • When the connection to IBM FileNet P8 server is temporarily
    interrupted and an exception API_UNABLE_TO_USE_CONNECTION is
    thrown, all running scheduled tasks stall.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed the error handling code, so the scheduled tasks will be
    either resumed or marked as failed  after the P8 server comes
    back online.
