APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If IBM Content Collector is configured to collect files based on
  values in a metadata file and the required file system metadata
  is located in an XML attribute, the FSC Associate Metadata task
  fails to read this metadata correctly.
  
  For example, in the following XML, the values for Description
  and FileName are not read correctly:
  <TestXML Description="Value" FileName="Filename.PDF" />
  

Local fix

• As a workaround, do not use attributes in the XML file. For
  example, use the following XML:
  <TestXML>
  <Description>Value</Description>
  <FileName>Filename.PDF</FileName>
  </TestXML>
  

Problem summary

• If IBM Content Collector was configured to collect files based
  on values in a metadata file and the required file system
  metadata was located in an XML attribute, the FSC Associate
  Metadata task failed to read this metadata correctly. For
  example, in the following XML, the values for Description and
  FileName were not read correctly:

Problem conclusion

• Starting with this fix, IBM Content Collector correctly reads
  file system metadata from XML attributes.
