  Scenario:
  Clear all of your CATSettings. This is the KEY
  POINT 1.
  1. Start CATIA V5R17SP03.
  2. Open the file: Part1.CATPart. (Workbench :
  GSD )
  3. Expand the tree.
  4. Click PowerCopy.1 in the tree by MB3, Select
  PowerCopy.1 object/ Instantiate in the context
  menu. >>Insert Object dialog box is displayed.
  5. Select Fill.2 in the tree.
  6. Select xy plane in the tree.
  7. Click OK button. >>Update Diagnosis dialog box
  is displayed.
  8. Click Edit button in the Update Diagnosis dialog
  box. >>Intersection dialog box is displayed.
  9. Click OK button in the Intersection dialog box.
  >>Update Error dialog box is displayed.
  10. Waits for about 3~5 minutes. =>This is KEY
  POINT 2!!
  11. Click Delete All button in the Update Error
  dialog box. >>Runtime exception
  dialog box is displayed.
  12. Click OK button. >>CATIA is ABEND!! =>This
  is the problem!!

  Incident Diagnosis
  When we instantiate given specific power copy,
  update error is thrown. If we wait for 3-6
  minutes and then do Delete All, CATIA abend
  occurs.
  .
  Correction Explanation
  A pointer was used with RefCount = 0. AddRef is
  added and now the pointer is Released. Problem
  now fixed.
