This APAR will provide guest support and limited host support for the Vector Facility for z/Architecture. When this facility is installed and enabled, vector instructions are available, having access to 32, 128-bit registers. z/VM support for this facility will provide performance enhancements for programs exploiting vector-facility instructions.
