Error description

• Exception s0c4 in IGZXF2D offset x'8A' (IC instruction - 4340
  E02B) due to an invalid address in reg14. COBTHRED control
  block has an incorrect pointer.

  When processing COMP-1 and COMP-2 data item, the COBOL library
  routine checks the setting of the compiler option ARITH. For
  performance purpose, the setting of this option is cached in an
  internal control area for use by the library. The address of
  this cache area may not be correct after a program CANCEL,
  which may lead to s0C4 abend in subsequent progressing.
  

Problem conclusion

• The COBOL library code is fixed to access the ARITH option
  correctly.
