PI33690: (COB V5.1) SAMPLE JOBS EAGGJJOB AND EAGGXJOB, COMPILED WITH ARCH(6) RECEIVES RUNTIME ABEND0C1 ABEND ON IRXJCL CALL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• (COB V5.1) When sample jobs, EAGGJJOB and EAGGXJOB are compiled
  with ARCH(6), the compile is successful, but an ABEND0C1 occurs
  on the IRXJCL call at runtime due to the COBOL runtime use of
  the CLFI instruction that cannot execute on a z890 machine.
  The CLFI instruction is part of the Extended-Immediate Facility
  which cannot be used on a z890 (2086 series) machine.
