APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The mobile client partition at 6.1. TL 06 hangs at LED
2005 after LPM.
This problem can only happen at AIX 6.1. TL6 where
vscsi_kproc is introduced.  And the reason for the LED
2005 hang is vscsi_kproc being paged out.
The problem happens when there is heavier workload on the
mobile client partition and has not enough memory.

* level.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
* When migrating an LPAR with a small memory configuration, the
* migration may hang with ref code 2005 in the HMC if the paging
* device is a VSCSI device.

* RECOMMENDATION:
* Install APAR IZ95265.
*
* Prior to APAR availability, an interim fix is available from:
* ftp://public.dhe.ibm.com/aix/efixes/iz95265/

a kernel process driven method.
