  • A Zone change on a Cisco VSAN enabled Fiber channel
switch
causes NPIV Clients who are not part of the same zone but
mapped through the same physical VIO adapter to report
momentary reservation conflicts in configurations where
EMC powerpath is installed.

* devices.pci.df1000f7.com fileset at the 5.3.10.4 level.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
* A zone change on a Cisco VSAN enabled Fiber channel switch
* causes NPIV Clients who are not part of the same zone but
* mapped through the same physical VIO adapter to report
* momentary reservation conflicts in configurations where EMC

* RECOMMENDATION:
* Install APAR IZ90961.

Problem conclusion

  • A FABRIC_SCN now sets event to NPIV_ASY_LIP but only for the
specific initiator/client that received the SCN.
