Error description

  • Adding a shared disk to the cluster and then removing it from
the cluster may fail, if the user specifies the global device
name to the chcluster command before the global device name
takes effect.  The chcluster command fails because it thinks
that the disk name is not valid.

Problem conclusion


    

  • The cluster API must be flexible enough to allow the disk that
is to be deleted from the cluster to be identified by its UUID,
device name on the local node (ODM), or its global device name
that is recorded in the cluster repository.
