Error description

  • getgrent_r causes memory corruption resulting in SIGSEGV
    when invoked by multiple threads simultaneously.
    

Local fix

  • A local fix is to serialize all access to getgrent_r().

Problem conclusion

    code path, has been completely removed from the threaded code
    path.
