Error description

  • Passthru IOCTL such as DK_PASSTHRU or DKIOLCMD may have
errors processed by the disk driver.  This can cause
unattended reservation issued to the drive, when application
issues IOCTL commands to disk drive.

errors processed by the disk driver.  This can cause
unattended reservation issued to the drive, when application
issues IOCTL commands to disk drive.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • If a passthru IOCTL encounters an error, the disk driver
will not perform error processing.  Error processing will be
left up to application issuing IOCTL.
