If the customer updates the Boot Code version to a different version the adapter will no longer function.

If the customer updates the Boot Code version to a different version the adapter will no longer function.
Problem conclusion
When updating the firmware the MAC addresses need to be preserved. To do this the microcode file is opened and updated with the original MAC addresses of the adapter. The Boot Code CRC and the Manufacturing Block CRC need to be recalculated based upon the modified image.
