APAR status

Error description

  • Duplicate SWservAt entries after SP update

Local fix

  • 1) make backup  a of the /etc/objrepos directory
cd /
tar -cvf /tmp/objrepos_backup_december_2014.tar
./etc/objrepos

then for each duplicate attribute, do:

2) get the current information into file
odmget -q attribute=primary SWservAt >
/tmp/primary_dump_old
3) make copy of the  /tmp/primary_dump_old file
cp  /tmp/primary_dump_old  /tmp/primary_dump_new
4) edit the   /tmp/primary_dump_new file so that there is
only the entry referring the
SWservAt:
        attribute = "primary"
        deflt = "/dev/hd6"
        value = "/dev/lg_dumplv"
5)  now delete the odm entry
odmdelete -o SWservAt -q "attribute=primary"
6)  now add the good enrty
odmadd /tmp/primary_dump_new
7) verify with that the good entry is there .
odmget -q attribute=primary SWservAt
8) repeat same steps for attribute=tprimary

Problem conclusion

  • Proper processing  of SWservAt odm attributes to avoid
duplicate entries
