Error description

• When at least three resource groups exist in a cluster, a
failure may occur during a PowerHA rg_move event. A
graphic of an example configuration across a two-node
cluster follows:

+------------+
| |
| RG1 | <---------+
| | <-+ |
+------------+ |Start. |
| |
| |
+------------+ |After. |
| | <-+ |Online on the Same Node.
| RG2 | <---------+
| | <-+ |
+------------+ |Parent.|
| |
| |
+------------+ |Child. |
| | <-+ |
| RG3 | <---------+
| |
+------------+

Local fix

• Create a parent/child relationship between the failed RGs
if workable; otherwise there is no other local fix.

+------------+
| | <-------------+
| RG1 | <---------+ |Parent. << Add.

| | |
+------------+ |After.

| | |
+------------+ |Child.
| | <-+ | |
| RG3 | <---------+ |Child.

ERROR: Resource group RGoya,RGko,RGmago is in the ERROR state
To troubleshoot why the resource group went into this state,
please refer to the hacmp.out log file and the documentation
Error Encountered in resource group movement.

Problem conclusion

• Corrected event handling code to move RG's to another node
without any issue.
