This can only occur on Power8 systems running in Power8 mode.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
* May cause application data corruption and core dumps when
* using vector operations inside of a transaction.
* This can only occur on Power8 systems running in Power8 mode.

* RECOMMENDATION:
* Install APAR IV62820.

Problem conclusion


    

  • Preserve contents of the condition register when granting
ownership of the vector unit to applications that are using
Transactional Memory.
