APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The allowable values for tcp_rto_low are zero or a
    multiple
of ten times the timer_wheel_tick value.

The no command incorrectly allows tcp_low_rto =
    timer_wheel_tick.
The effect is the same as setting tcp_low_rto = 0 but it
    is
    confusing and misleading.

Local fix

  • If tcp_low_rto value = timer_wheel_tick then
    proceed as if tcp_low_rto=0 .

Problem summary

  • If timer_wheel_tick has been set to non zero value,
"no" command allows to set tcp_low_rto to the value of
    timer_wheel_tick. Which is not correct.

Problem conclusion

  • "no" command will set tcp_low_rto to zero or multiple of ten
of timer_wheel_tick. Also the help message in
"no -h tcp_low_rto" has been corrected.
