Error description

  • The ifconfig monitor option stopped working after
updating
to AIX 7.1 TL1.  Therefore, the interface status doesn't
reflect the device link status.

* ifconfig MONITOR option not working, causing interface(IP)
* fail-over not to work.

* RECOMMENDATION:
* Install APAR IV38845.
