Error description

  • Environment: VIOS 2.2.1.4
ELXENTDD does not send link up notification during
    adapter
RESET by backup VIOS causing SEA fail over issues.

When the cable is pulled on the backup VIOS, the SEA
issues adapter reset. During this process the elxentdd
adapter does not send link up notification to the upper
layers and as a result, the SEA does not failover to the
primary SEA. This issue is more prominent when SEA load
sharing is used. It is also observed on SEA HA mode of
    operation.
    A typical configuration scenario is

SEA -> Etherchannel (LACP mode) -> ELXENTDD Real adapters

Symptom: VIOC Lpars Connectivity loss when physical
    adapter loses link.
