  • When tcpdump is run with -C, after the dump file crosses the
limit setnt along with -C, tcpdump exits with following error:

tcpdump: Can't write to /tcp.dump1: A file or directory in
the path name does not exist.

Problem conclusion


    

  • Modified to check in tcpdump code so that it doesn't exit
when writing to a new file after the limit is reached on the
first file.
