Error description

  • The symptom from the customer's perspective is the
GetMultipleCompletionStatus does not return a completion
event even though the send has completed.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • An application which does a WriteFile() and then waits for the
completion event may hang waiting for the completion event in
GetMultipleCompletionStatus() or GetQueuedCompletionStatus()
call, even though send is completed.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Changed the iocp code to properly send the completion event
which used to be missed in certain circumstances.
