APAR status

Error description

  • lvm_queryvg api has a memory leak when run on a disk with
an offline VG.

'swapon' command also uses this API and large
amounts of memory leaks can be seen when there are large
number of disks in the system.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Applications using lvm_queryvg on an offline VG can see a
memory leak in lvmt function.

Problem conclusion

  • Properly free odm structures to avoid memory leak
