Error description
If a line in /etc/inetd.conf is commented out with multiple #'s like this: ##shell stream tcp6 nowait root /usr/sbin/rshd rshd Running 'aixpert -c -p' will result in the following error message in /etc/security/aixpert/check_report.txt: cominetdconf.sh: Service shell should have status d, however its entry is missing from /etc/inetd.conf This will not happen if there is just one #.
Local fix
To work around this, make sure only one # is used to comment out a line.
Problem summary
The customer will get an invalid error message in the check_report.txt for aixpert if there is more than one # in a comment in the /etc/rc.tcpip file.
Problem conclusion
Modified the cominetdconf script to handle more than one # in a comment.
