IT17072: PUREAPPLICATION SYSTEM: ERROR EVENT CWZIP6283E ASSOCIATED WITH VIRTUAL MACHINES MISSING PLACEMENT DATA IS RAISED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The user noted that an event CWZIP6283E is raised with the
  message:
  "CWZIP6283E PureSystems Manager [SERIAL_NUMBER] has one or more
  virtual machines that are missing the corresponding placement
  table entries."
  
  This can occur after one or more virtual machines are
  deleted from any type of deployment (Virtual System, Virtual
  Application, Shared Service) that contains multiple virtual
  machines.
  
  This can impact the ability to manage the remaining virtual
  machines and could lead to over-allocation of resources
  because some of the CPU and memory used by the remaining
  virtual machines may not be accounted for in the placement
  table.
  

Local fix

• The problem can be resolved by deleting the rest of the
  deployment.
  

Problem summary

• Code has been added to verify that virtual machine placement
  entries exist in the system database and are associated with
  the correct deployment group.
  

Problem conclusion

• A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System and
  BlueMix Local System version 2.2.3.0.
